Howard out, Cheadle in?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Don Cheadle will be replacing Terrence Howard in "Iron Man 2." He'll be playing Tony Stark's buddy, Jim Rhodes, the future War Machine. Expect the role to be beefed up from the first movie, the article says.

My thought is, Terrence Howard will not be missed since Cheadle is a talented guy and can be had for less money. If the role is expanded, Howard will have lost out twice. I wonder if Howard forgot the movie title is "Ironman", not "Jim Rhodes".

Story on The Gazette's Pop page the other day where Howard talked about how stunned he was to find out he was out and seemed to dismiss the idea that it was all about money.

I saw a similar comment from him and thought, this is going to be a case of blame the actors agent.

Isn't that what many actors do? They say the agent did it and I didn't know about it. (sigh) Oh well, guess we will never really know but... is there any word on Howard getting new representation? :-)

Got to say, if an agent cost me millions, I would be looking else where.

Interesting story.
